Full Kenya Experience – Safari Expeditions Details

Our Safari expeditions espouses a safari philosophy that upholds the safari experience’s fundamental essence. We believe that safaris, which have become increasingly common in Africa, have lost some of their distinctiveness and allure. Our Safari expeditions, on the other hand, strives to restore the soul of the safari experience. We have been providing direct operations in  Kenya for 20 years, allowing us to arrange your once-in-a-lifetime safari experience in Kenya.

Our approach is unique. First, we have a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that we hire the most outstanding guides in the industry. To keep them motivated and performing at their best, we provide them with the best salaries and working conditions in the industry and incentive programs that reward them for exceptional performance on their tours.

Second, we only use new or semi-new vehicles. As safaris can involve spending several hours per day in a vehicle, the quality of the vehicle can make a significant difference in the overall experience. Our vehicles have larger windows than most, providing a much better viewing experience. They also have modern suspensions that offer greater comfort on even the most challenging terrain, electric sockets to recharge equipment, fridges to keep drinks cool, and many other amenities.

But it’s the small touches that make the difference: Unlike most other companies, we provide binoculars on every safari, which are essential; whenever possible, we offer amazing and delicious hot lunches with excellent wines, which will make anyone with a cold, basic lunchbox envious; and our recommended accommodations favor small, intimate boutique tented camps over large hotel chains like most other companies.

Contact us today, and you’ll discover that our exceptional service extends beyond the safaris we organize to include our incredible customer care.

We guarantee same-day replies to any inquiry, and we will design an itinerary that is bespoke and entirely tailored to your preferences, needs, budget, and timeframe.

Our ethos at Kenya Soul Safaris is rooted in a unique philosophy that emphasizes the authentic safari experience above all else. We believe that safaris have become too commercialized and are losing their charm and character. Our aim is to restore the soul of the safari by providing a once-in-a-lifetime experience that is truly unforgettable.

To achieve this, we have developed a rigorous recruitment process to ensure that our team of guides is comprised of the very best in the industry. We incentivize and motivate them with the best salaries and working conditions to keep them in top shape, and we only use new or semi-new vehicles with larger windows for optimal viewing, modern suspensions for a smoother ride, electric sockets to keep your equipment powered, fridges for cool drinks, and other amenities to enhance your experience.

We believe that the small details make a big difference, which is why we provide binoculars on every safari, offer amazing hot lunches with great wines, and prioritize intimate boutique tented camps over large hotel chains. Our focus is on creating a bespoke itinerary that is tailored to your preferences, needs, budget, and timeframe, and our team of experienced safari designers is available to assist you every step of the way.

We believe that a safari should be a leisurely and immersive experience that allows you to savor the beauty of nature and wildlife. Rather than rushing from one destination to another, we prefer to explore the off-the-beaten-path areas that are less crowded and offer a more authentic wildlife experience. Our goal is to make you feel as if you are living out an adventure from an Out of Africa movie, a Hemingway novel, or a Livingstone expedition. That is our Safari Expeditions experience, and we invite you to join us on this unforgettable journey.

FAQ

Visa Requirements

When planning a trip to any country, it’s important to check the visa requirements to avoid any surprises at the airport. Visa requirements can vary depending on your nationality and your destination, so it’s always a good idea to check with your embassy or home affairs department for up-to-date information.

Visa costs also vary from country to country, and some countries may have additional costs for certain nationalities. For example, in Tanzania, American citizens have to pay $100 USD for a visa, while most other nationalities pay $50 USD. In Ethiopia, the visa costs $52 USD for most nationalities.

Some countries allow you to apply for a visa online, which can save you time and hassle at the airport. Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, and Zambia all have online visa application services available for certain nationalities. However, it’s important to check if your nationality is eligible for online visa applications and to follow the instructions carefully.

If you plan to get a visa on arrival, it’s important to check if this option is available for your nationality and destination. Always check with the official entities to avoid any issues. Additionally, remember that your passport must have at least six months validity to be eligible for a visa.

Inclusions

When you book a safari tour, you can expect to have everything taken care of for you. This includes excellent vehicles that are equipped with a pop-up roof for optimal game viewing, as well as unlimited mileage so you can explore as much as you want. National parks fees and accommodation-related fees are also included in the tour price, so you don’t have to worry about any additional expenses popping up unexpectedly.

To ensure you stay hydrated during your safari adventure, bottled water is also provided throughout the journey. And when it comes to accommodation, you can choose between full board or all-inclusive options, depending on your preference.

It’s important to note that if the government increases park and accommodation fees after you book your tour, your contract will be amended to reflect these changes. This way, you can rest assured that you won’t be caught off guard by any unexpected fees. With everything taken care of for you, all you have to do is sit back, relax, and enjoy your safari experience.

Vaccination

If you’re planning a trip to Africa, it’s always a good idea to consult with a travel doctor beforehand. They can provide valuable advice on what vaccines or medication you may need to stay healthy during your travels. For example, depending on where you’re going, you may need to get a yellow fever vaccine or take prophylaxis pills to protect against malaria.

It’s important to note that some countries may require proof of vaccination or medication before you’re allowed to enter. So, it’s essential to double-check the specific requirements for your destination before you depart. A travel doctor can help ensure that you have all the necessary vaccinations and medication to protect your health and make your trip as enjoyable as possible.

Accommodation in the starting/ending location

At our company, we understand that every traveler has different preferences and needs when it comes to travel logistics. That’s why we offer flexible options for starting and ending your safari tour.

If you prefer to arrive and immediately start your safari adventure, we can arrange for a prompt pickup at the airport and get you on the road to your first destination. Similarly, if you need to catch a flight right after your safari ends, we can make sure to drop you off at the airport in a timely manner.

However, we always recommend spending at least one night in the city where your tour starts or ends. This way, you can avoid any worries about arriving late or missing your flight, and you can start your safari adventure well-rested and ready for the early morning start.

If you do decide to start your safari immediately after arrival or end it with a drop off at the airport, we suggest booking flights that arrive in the morning on the first day and depart in the evening on the last day. This way, you can have ample time to complete your tour and make your flight without feeling rushed or stressed.

Allergies and food ristrictions

We understand that some of our guests may have allergies or food restrictions that need to be taken into consideration during their safari. To ensure that we can accommodate these needs, we ask that you please let us know in advance of any dietary restrictions or allergies you may have.

We can provide vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, and dairy-free options, as well as other restrictions such as halal or kosher. If you have any specific requests, please let us know and we will do our best to accommodate them.

During the safari, we will communicate your dietary needs to the lodges and camps where you will be staying, so they can prepare appropriate meals for you. We also recommend bringing any necessary medications or supplies for managing your allergies or dietary restrictions.

Your safety and comfort are our top priority, and we are committed to providing an enjoyable and stress-free safari experience for all of our guests. So, please don’t hesitate to let us know about any special needs or requests you may have.
